calendar-daysHow Simola schedules simulations?

Simola schedules simulations from simulation groups. The group defines when runs are allowed and how volume spreads across days.

Inputs that drive scheduling

1) Date range and weekdays

Simola only schedules runs inside the group’s:

  • start date / end date

  • active weekdays

2) Optional daily time window

If you set a time range, Simola schedules only inside that window. Outside it, runs stay Scheduled.

3) Distribution (daily totals)

Distribution controls how many runs happen per day.

Auto-distribution adds slight randomization. You can override daily counts.

What happens at runtime

  • Simulations move from Scheduled → Running → Successful/Failed.

  • If capacity is constrained, runs may start later than expected.

  • Paused campaigns or groups stop creating new runs.

Timezone behavior (practical guidance)

If you use geo fields, Simola may infer timezone.

If you don’t, schedule using your team’s expected timezone and verify pacing.
